create familiarity then? The answer is an autoresponders. After

week or later from the date the second one was sent. In this

letter is to rekindle his interest or remind him of your offer.
Now, do not repeat the same things you said in your previous
letter. Rather take a different perspective to present your
product or service.

If the third letter from the autoresponders fails to yield any
response, then stretch the timing of the next letter to a month.
If the reader sees your letter regularly and one day decides to
purchase the product, you will be the first he turns to as he
would have by now accumulated a lot of info about the product to
make a decision. Perhaps more importantly, you would have
created the familiarity needed by people to build trust and
confidence.

It may have to be understood that not all autoresponders can

First let me say there is absolutely nothing wrong with
responding to your email manually. I have family, friends and
associates that I communicate with all the time through email.
Those emails require that personal touch.

What I am talking about is the request for the same information
over and over. If I had 10,000 people emailing me asking the
same questions I would go bonkers. I could go at it 24/7 and
never get them all answered. So instead of wasting my time and
those that want answers it is better to send information
automatically.

I still really feel strong about the personal touch so I remain
available through email and phone.

Online business needs to be fast and efficient because people
today never stop and they want answers yesterday. If I can

After endless hours of writing, designing and programming
your brand new web site is ready for prime time. You tested
your shopping cart software and you made sure that all your
external affiliate links have your affiliate id. You’re
making sure that you will get the commissions you deserve.
This is a very exiting moment. You will expose your writing
skills and your ability to design an attractive web site to
the whole world. All of you who have a website know what
I’m talking about.

Your web site is online and you’re open for business. Ready
to take as many orders as you can possibly handle. A day
goes by and there are no orders. Another day goes by and
there are still no orders. You give it a week. People need
to warm up to your new business. Still nothing, not even a
single visitor. Well, you are about to experience what
thousands of webmasters experienced before. Nobody even

The only effective way to instantly create traffic to a
brand new web site is through email subscriptions. Of
course this is not a free ride, but there are many opt-in
email lead providers who offer great service at a great
price. My favorites are listed at the end of this article.

You’re anxiously waiting for the first list of email leads,
delivered by your leads provider. Also you made sure, that
you are not spamming. The good news is that all the people
on the list want to hear what you have to offer. You could
manually send an email to every one of them. This works for
a couple of emails, but you probably will get hundreds of
email leads. The solution for this problem is called
autoresponders. Autoresponders are email robots
automatically sending out emails to a pre-defined list of
recipients on your behalf. They’re taking care of the
initial welcome letter and send follow-up emails. My
favorite autoresponders are listed at the end of this
article.

Now you’re on your way to unbelievable traffic to your web
site, right? Wrong! What are all these people subscribing
to? You are in desperate need of something you can offer to
your subscribers. You might have a killer welcome letter,
but nothing else. Most of your emails will never be opened,
because they never passed the spam filters. The words
you’re using are not convincing enough to attract readers
to your web site.

Worst off all, your headline is so lame that nobody even
opens your email. Keep in mind, that most people are using
free email accounts for their subscriptions. That’s right!
The same rules you apply for your own email habits apply to
your prospective subscribers. Would you subscribe to
newsletters or online offers with you primary email
address? Of course not, you guard your primary email
address like your bank account. Most free email accounts
don’t offer preview panels like you’re probably used to
with your Outlook Express email program. So the headline is
your most important asset.

There are many reasons why you still not getting the
results you’re looking for. This is frustrating, but the
name of the game is persistence. Learn as much as you can
about effective marketing strategies. Apply proven
strategies to your business. Don’t try to reinvent the
wheel. Stick to what’s working for others to achieve the
results you’re looking for.

The topic on writing effective marketing emails is very
complex and is definitely out of scope for this little
article.

If you do some research online a lot of sites will describe an autoresponder as an email program that sends out email in response to an email it receives.  The most common one is the “Out of office reply.”  If you are going on vacation or traveling for work then you can setup your email program to automatically send a prewritten message to whoever sends you an email while you are gone.  However, this type of autoresponder is of limited use.

Another definition of an autoresponder is a series of prewritten emails that get sent at predetermined intervals.  Basically, you can write a bunch of emails at once and then you can decide when you want those emails to go out.  You can send them out one day after each other or a month apart.  Or you can send one out today, another one out in three days, and then another one out in two weeks.  It’s up to you to determine.

The use of an autoresponder in this way is great because it allows you to schedule when you want your emails to go out.  You can plan ahead and don’t have to worry about forgetting to send an email out.  For example, let’s say you have a newsletter that you want to send out.  You can just put it in your autoresponder and tell it when you want it to go out.  You don’t have to worry about remembering to send it on a certain day.

Also, an autoresponder can automate the sales process no matter what industry you are on.  A lot of times when a person visits a website they aren’t ready to buy that moment.  If you have an autoresponder you can offer them to join it, so they can receive free information from you.  From there you can keep in touch with your customer and  over the course of several emails show the value of the product, different features of it, and how it will benefit them.  Once they have seen more information about it they will be more inclined to purchase it.

There are different kinds of autoresponders out there.  Some autoresponders you can load on your computer and run it from there or you can run an autoresponder from your website.  The benefits is it may be cheaper, but as your contact list grows the greater the risk you run for having a disaster.  If your computer crashes and all of your email contacts are on it, then what do you do?  Another option is to pay for a third party autoresponder service(my recommendation).  These services are super reliable and provide a great way to manage all your email contacts.  They provide standard web forms that you can add to your website to allow people to opt in to your autoresponder and you don’t have to worry about losing all your contacts if your computer crashes.

TIP: Do you own a domain? If not, I suggest you get one. It is cheap and will help you brand your business and your name. What does this have to do with autoresponders? Well, with your own domain you can set up different contacts, such as info or ezine and this can help you keep track of your email campaigns.

Using an autoresponder is not about just sending out sales emails constantly.

What is it about?

1. Building a relationship with your website visitors. Sending them information and free stuff, recommending things you think they can use.

2. The freedom to take the day off knowing that when you log in the next day you see that people still bought from you on your day off.

3. Prompt and timely replies. Most people are now accustomed to getting information fast.

4. Saving your valuable time for those tasks that really need your attention.

5. Providing your business with another essential ingredient for successful online marketing.

TIP: Autoresponders build lists. One thing about autoresponders is that you need to solicited email addresses. This is a great way to build an opt in email list for your business to help keep your potential customers within your reach.

It will be your responsibility to keep the people on your list updated and interested. Offer free information, such as a newsletter, something that they can use. Not only will you keep them interested but you can send them to your site over and over, and eventually they may make a purchase.
